Hawaii, the only U.S. destination where you can take a dip in the ocean and play in the snow in the same day. From laid-back quiet spots to the iconic popular places, Hawaii has it all.

  • For flights to Hawaii (and not only), Hawaiian Airlines and their miles program, HawaiianMiles is one of the best.

  • If your flight date is flexible and you book 1-2 months in advance, you get the most of their HawaiianMiles offers, like booking a flight for only 17,500 miles/one-way, Hawaii to continental USA.

  • That means, the initial 50,000 bonus miles from The Hawaiian Airlines World Elite Mastercard will take you on a round trip to Hawaii.

  • You can also take advantage of the partnerships between HawaiianMiles and its hotel partners, to earn Hawaiian miles, when paying for a hotel room.

Advantages over other airlines mileage programs:

  • No fees for transferring miles between HawaiianMiles accounts.

  • No fees for booking with award miles within 21 days of travel date, (like other airlines).

  • You can put your itinerary on hold for up to one year, from ticket issue date, and only pay $50 fee to change the flight date, any time after that, at the same number of miles (for award flights Hawaii to/from U.S. mainland and international flights from Hawaii).

  • While Hawaiian doesn't offer flights with miles for all their destinations, the value you get for the destinations they service is very good. For example, you can get from New York to Honolulu with 17,500 miles almost any time of the year (one-way, nonstop), if you are not too picky about your travel date.

Hawaiian Airlines partners with: ANA, China Airlines, Korean Air, JetBlue, Virgin America, Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Australia.

  • When flying All Nippon Airlines (ANA), you can earn Hawaiian miles on eligible flights until March 31, 2018, only.

  • Also, customers flying with Virgin America can only earn Hawaiian miles on eligible flights, until December 31, 2017.

  • You can also redeem Hawaiian miles for partner airlines flights, but the redemption value at travel partners is mostly not favorable. Remember, you should always compare the option of redeeming your award miles for a flight with the option of purchasing the ticket using cash. If the cash cost is lower than the amount of miles needed to book divided by 100 (for the same flight), it is not worth to use the miles.
